I wish Vairamuthu reduced the number, dug deeper within a smaller set and had produced much finer work. There were few stories that stay with you, but again it was not because of the literary content but because the stories tugged your heartstrings.

The message or literary content was only skin deep in my opinion. There were a wide variety of stories but somewhere they were just stories and didn't go in depth to produce great memorable literature. But these set of stories for some reason just did not do it for me. We all know how great he is with his words and I have no authority what so ever in critiquing his work.
